Studying the weather is one of the most important tasks in preparing for a flight. To this end, MeteoSwiss provides self-briefing platforms that can be accessed via the Internet. Below is a brief overview of the self-briefing systems.

The MeteoSwiss national aviation weather service. The products for Switzerland are available directly through the MeteoSwiss app as an annual subscription. The in-app information is restricted to those with a pilot’s license.

TAMSI (TAfMetarSIgmet)

TAMSI is MeteoSwiss’s web-based meteorological self-briefing platform for commercial aviation at national and regional airports. Aviation weather information for predefined routes worldwide can be accessed quickly and securely with just a few clicks in PDF format or as a paper printout.

pc_met Internet Service

A product provided by the German Meteorological Service that includes several aviation weather services from MeteoSwiss. This Internet-based system contains aviation weather information for Europe and the rest of the world.

For those with additional requirements, personal aviation weather advice is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:
