2011 was an eventful year for MeteoSwiss. After the Federal Council had commissioned a revision of the Federal Law on Meteorology in 2010 and thus enabled MeteoSwiss to gain legal independence, we got down to work on the re-organisation process. I was included in this process before I had even moved into my office at Krähbühlstrasse in Zurich at the beginning of May.
