What’s the weather like in Milan or Miami? How hot does it get in summer in Nairobi or New Delhi? The World Meteorological Organisation provides up-to-date weather data and forecasts as well as climate information for selected cities around the world. The information is sourced from the various official national weather services.
The World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) has been providing access to official weather information from the national weather services around the world since 2005.
Increasing numbers of countries have joined the organisation since its inception, including Switzerland. Current weather data and weather forecasts are now available on the “Global weather information platform" for more than 2,800 cities in around 140 countries globally (as of 2022). Climate information is also available for around 2,200 cities in 170 countries.
