Stations with new sunshine hours measurements

Up until now, several MeteoSwiss stations have been using global radiation as the basis for calculating hours of sunshine.

However, over the coming years, these stations (see table) will be gradually equipped with their own measuring devices for the purpose. The devices will enable more accurate measurements of sunshine hours.

The table below is continuously updated with the official inauguration dates for the new measuring devices at the stations.Up until now, several MeteoSwiss stations have been using global radiation as the basis for calculating hours of sunshine.
